Bird lovers donate bins for fishing line | News | bakersfield.com

The Kern Audubon Society is working with local parks to install special receptacles for fishing line in an effort to encourage fishermen not to discard old tackle where it may entangle wildlife.

"It’s a serious problem for birds but it's an easy solution. It just takes people willing to do it," said Harry Love, a board member of the local branch of the national bird-watching group.
